CAT registrations 2021 will begin today, i.e. 4th August, at 10 am. The last date to apply for CAT registrations 2021 is 15th September, and the exams are likely to be held on 28th November. The (IIM) Ahmedabad shall begin registrations at iimcat.ac.in The exam will be conducted as a centre-based test (CBT) in three sessions.
CAT is conducted for the admissions to management programmes at IIMs, and other B-Schools across the country. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent can apply for CAT 2021. For SC/ST or other PwD candidates, the minimum percentage of marks required is 45%.
CAT is used for admissions to post-graduate programs and other fellow management programs at IIMs in Ahmadabad, Bangalore, Amritsar, Jammu, Kashipur, Indore, Calcutta, Bodh Gaya, Kozhikode, Ranchi, Raipur, Lucknow, Raipur, Nagpur, Rohtak, Shillong, Sambalpur, Tiruchirappalli, Udaipur, Sirmaur and Vishakapatnam etc.
Though a bachelor’s degree is the eligibility criteria for the CAT exam, candidates who are appearing for their final year graduation exams or those students who have completed their final exams and are awaiting the results can also apply for the CAT exam.
“However, for those candidates who have been selected can join the program provisionally, only if they submit a certificate duly signed by the Principal/Registrar of their respective institution, stating that they have completed all the requirements that are essential to get a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification,” an official statement said.
The registration fee for CAT 2021 is Rs. 1,100 for SC/ST and PwD candidates and Rs. 2,200 for other candidates.
